Dreams really do come true

"Somewhere over the rainbow" turns out to be eight miles west of Fort Worth, Texas. I don't waste my time watching network television because it is 75% advertising, all of which insults my intelligence. Therefore, I hadn't heard about the church shooting on Sunday until a close friend told me about it. Reading reports on the internet made me wonder if I was dreaming. The "good guys" won. Big time.

A mentally disturbed man entered a church on Sunday during the service. He was wearing a fake beard, a wig, a hat and a long coat, and he managed to shoot and kill two people, taking everyone by surprise. But this is TEXAS, y'all. It turns out that the church has organized its very own security team. One of the men who was killed was a member of the security team, and the first to engage the perpetrator. Six seconds later, from what appears to be forty feet away, the second member of the security team fired one shot and killed the attacker, hitting him in the head.

I wondered if I was reading this wrong. Maybe it was just a very lucky shot. It wasn't. The man who put an abrupt stop to the attack is a fire arms instructor, and a former FBI agent. He's also seventy-one years old. Don't mess with us old guys. We don't make idle threats. We just take care of business.

I doubt there are too many liberals on this mailing list, but there is an important lesson to be learned here. Compare this incident to the school shooting in Columbine, Colorado. The police were slow to enter the school and were heavily criticized for not intervening during the shooting. Therefore, that attack continued for nearly an hour and resulted in 15 dead and 21 wounded. And those boys were never stopped by authorities. They committed suicide. Theoretically, they could have continued their devastation for much longer.

All the bleeding hearts will wonder, "can't we all just get along?" The answer is NO. You can't get along with evil people or the mentally disturbed. But when those people are eliminated because they initiated violence, the rest of us can get along just fine.

You don't spit into the wind. You don't tug on Superman's cape. And you don't attack people in the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas. Proving once again:
An armed society is a polite society.

Mea Culpa!

It has become more and more difficult to "separate the wheat from the chaff". Three people have sent me basically the same message.

Michael: I assume you know that virtually every one of these mass shootings are staged and/or engineered. Many people, even truth tellers seem to avoid this truth.

I hope that you know that I would never deliberately circulate false information. It quite likely that I wanted it to be true, so it was able to bypass my BS detector. Here is a link to a very short video that establishes several dates during the month of December when this was reported on the internet. Can we believe THIS to be true? I don't know.
news before it happened

However, whether the story was fabricated or not, it still establishes the same lesson. Either you are able and willing to protect yourself with guns, or you become another statistic in the escalation of violence in this country.

When I die, Liberty is no longer my problem. Good luck.
